Liked: Beautiful small eco campsite with 4 marked individual pitches and one set up bell tent in a large field. Felt really intimate, and privacy created by leaving the grass unmowed between pitches. Each pitch has mown area with level site for tent, picnic bench covered with a tarp and firepit area with 4 seats made from tyres. You have your own composting toilet( which does not smell!) and is emptied frequently. There is a shipping container which containers two washing up sinks and two showers. All kept very clean. In the middle of Welsh countryside, but with facilities in Whitland just 2 miles away. We used the campsite as a base for visiting many places in Pembrokeshire during our 12 night stay. Roy is very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We loved the peace and quiet. Probably not the campsite for you if you want lots of facilities and entertainment, but just wonderful if you enjoy wildlife, peace and campfires.
Arrived Friday met with Roy the owner ... exceptionally friendly & informative about the Campsite. Constant contact Via email or telephone about their location. Great downloadable guide sent along with our booking and campsite guidelines.. giving us options about the local towns and beaches, & surrounding areas. Beautiful location and we had pitch 7 perfect spot for our party of 5. Eco toilet very cool & very new experience for camping haha. Also showers were simple and easy to use no messing around. Clean unique little block. Ours was a 2 nights 🌙 stay . We purchased the wood bundle for our Firepit and was worth the spend. Stunning little firepit. Highly recommended this lovely Campsite we had a brilliant time . We look forward to a return in the future . Many thanks to Lisa & Roy we hope you continue to be successful throughout this trying time.
One of the best campsites we’ve been to. Went as a group of friends so we booked out all 4 pitches meaning we had the field to ourselves which was great for privacy. Roy was so welcoming and kind - couldn’t find a better host. The covered picnic benches and fire pits were our favourite touch and a godsend in the rain! The pitches and walkways were mowed leaving clear pathways to each pitch. Amenities were good- there are 2 showers, 2 sinks and drinking water to use. Overall, a great stay and we’ve already booked to return!
Roy and Lisa were both very helpful during the booking process with prompt replies, and supplied lots of information about the area. The site was very peaceful, with only a few pitches there was plenty of space to relax and forget about COVID 19. The dedicated eco toilet, fire pit and covered picnic bench were a real bonus. We really enjoyed our short stay at Strawhill, and would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, rural retreat within striking distance of the Gower and West Wales beaches.
Liked: Everything. Scenery, Location. Space around the tent. Cooking area. The tent itself

Booked a last minute get away to Strawhill and had a lovely weekend. Roy was super helpful and friendly, the bell tent was spacious, clean and comfortable. I loved the private covered kitchen area, our own compost toilet and the secluded field. The hot showers and washing areas were clean and it was all very well thought out. We're experienced campers but it was lovely to have a tent and kitchen all set up and ready to go.
