covid 19

Our priority during your stay will be to keep you and us safe as far as we are able from Covid 19.

We have been working hard to open our campsite from Saturday 8th August 2020 and to assure you of the plans we've been making we are delighted to have been successful in our application to be awarded the  'We're good to go' Industry standard which is illustrated at the top of this page.  We have undertaken a risk assessment as part of this process and the following safety measures are in place

  • whilst we have large open spaces you are asked to observe good social distancing, you are asked to observe the 2 metre social distancing rule and be respectful of any other campers on the farm.

  • We will agree a check in time for each booking to ensure there are no queues to check in and we will confirm your arrival time the day before your arrival.

  • Payments will be made in advance using online payment methods.

  • We provide high standards of cleaning making sure our wash and shower block is cleaned 3 times a day, cleaning materials are available for individuals to use in the facilities and there is a hand sanitising unit which you must use on entry to the shared facility.

  • There is signage to advise only one family is permitted in the facilities block at any one time and where possible you should try to restrict your time to 10 minutes to reduce risk of infection.

  • large numbers of people are not be able to congregate & socialise and therefore any group bookings will need to consider how they manage their cooking and eating arrangements.

  • Communal barbecues, sitting around with neighbouring pitches socialising, which is such a part of camping for some, will not be permitted.

  • you must ensure any children in your party are supervised to ensure they do not breach social distancing requirements with other campers.

  • Our bell tent will be cleaned with a cleaner and disinfectant after each stay and will be quarantined for 24 hours before the next arrival.

  • All bedding in the bell tent will be washed at 60 degrees after each stay and not be reused for 24 hours before the next arrival.

  • Should any member of your party become unwell and develop covid symptoms you must notify us immediately and make plans to leave the site immediately (unless too unwell to do so)

  • should you require firewood a note can be left by the farmhouse by leaving payment and pitch number, this will then be left outside the facility block between 5pm and 6pm on the same evening.

  • We are required to keep the contact details of all guests for 21 days and ask you to complete the form which is available in the button next to this text.

Our Neighbours & Local Communities

Please respect that some people in our local community are in the vulnerable group. We have, on the whole, been pretty isolated in this area and people are nervous about lots of changes. The local shops have been taking on extra duties to look after everyone and will continue to do so. Please be patient, please, consider those around you and their feelings. Everyone will deal with the changes in a different way. There is no right or wrong way. Remember to keep 2m apart. Be Kind.

We understand that some of you may become nervous as your holiday date approaches, or you may feel that the changes will be too much of a compromise this year. For those of you unsure what to do, should you decide to postpone, we can take bookings for 2021 now as availability permits and carry any monies forward, please contact us to discuss this if you are worried.

Some essential packing this year

A comprehensive, up to date FIRST AID KIT, leaflet with first aid information. In addition, consider plasters, antiseptic wipes, ice packs, bandage, burns cream. You need to avoid unnecessary trips to A&E / minor injury units.

Plenty of your prescribed medication. Local chemists are under immense pressure as offering additional services to vulnerable & elderly local residents.

Hand sanitiser for any trips out, 3 layer face coverings for use on any public transport or for when social distancing isn’t possible.

Thank you and we hope to welcome you to our campsite soon.
